What are solar panel grants?
Solar panel grants is a scheme that helps homeowners, private tenants and landlords reduce the cost of installing solar photovoltaic (PV) panels. This scheme makes it easier for people to benefit from renewable energy and reduce their electricity bills.

The scheme helps to reduce energy bills by up to 75%, allowing homeowners to save on their energy bills in the long run. It also helps reduce carbon emissions and pollution, making homes more sustainable. Additionally, homeowners and landlords will benefit from receiving an income by selling excess electricity back to the National Grid, via the Smart Export Guarantee.
The Smart Export Guarantee is an obligation placed on large energy suppliers by the government, which requires them to provide at least one export tariff for small-scale low carbon generation. This means that homeowners can make money from their solar PV systems by selling their excess electricity back into the grid, rather than losing it.
