What are solar panel grants?

Solar panel grants are a form of assistance that is covered by the governments ECO4 scheme. Under ECO4 households may be able to qualify for a full funded solar panel grant . This is a great opportunity to reduce your energy bills and help the environment by switching to solar power.

To be eligible for a grant, households must meet certain criteria. These include having an EPC rating of D or above, being able to prove savings on their energy bills, and being able to demonstrate how they will use the solar panel system.

Without a grant, the cost of installing solar panels can be expensive, but the ECO4 scheme is designed to help households climb out of fuel poverty and make heating their home more affordable.

Those with solar panels can sell their electricity back to the grid via the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) scheme, which pays households for the electricity they generate. This means you can make money from your solar panels, as well as reduce your energy bills and help the environment.

By switching to solar power, you are helping to reduce carbon emissions and contributing to a greener future. Solar energy is a renewable resource that doesn’t deplete, meaning it won’t run out like other energy sources.
