What are solar panel grants?

Solar panel grants is a scheme that helps homeowners, private tenants and landlords reduce their energy bills and avoid fuel poverty by replacing carbon fuel source for heating with renewable forms of heating. The solar panel grants are carried out under the ECO4 government scheme; this scheme is designed to help people living in homes with an energy rating of D and below with energy efficiency measures, such as insulation and solar panels.

The scheme helps to reduce energy bills by up to 75%, allowing homeowners to save on their energy bills in the long run. It also helps reduce carbon emissions and pollution, making homes more sustainable. Additionally, those with solar panels installed under the scheme may be eligible for Feed-in Tariffs. These are payments made by the UK government to households that generate electricity from renewable sources such as solar or wind power.

The savings made from the FiT and energy bill reductions could be over £400 a year for a typical three bed semi-detached home. With solar panel grants, you can get up to £2,500 towards the total cost of installing solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, including all labour costs.
